2019 All State Teams
YEARLY Disclaimer: All picks are based on their HS statistical season and our take on them -
by no means do they reflect future potential at any level (college or pro) - as always there are several players who could indeed have won or been placed on post season award teams -
and certainly we had to have their information sent to us in order to make a determination. - I will take new stats/info and add to all other teams but this one and the Ultimate 9 team.
Also - coaches can contact me for a certificate for any of the teams I have posted here -

YEARLY Disclaimer: All picks are based on their HS statistical season and our take on them - by no means do they reflect future potential at any level (college or pro) -

with 118 stirkeouts and only 18 walks in 71.1 innings. He also led the
state with 6 shutouts. Tate will playe collegiately at Univ. of
Kentucky. Coaches Quote: "Jacob is as consistent as any pitcher I have ever coached. Nothing seems to rattle him and the moment never seems to be too big for him. He is as good of a young man as he is a player. One of the most humble players I have coached." Tommy Pharr, HC CAK |
|
2 - Noah Webb - Sevier County |
CATCHER |
Noah

10 home runs and 47 rbi as well as being 28-28 in stolen bases. Noah
will be continuing his career at ETSU next year. Coaches Quote: "This is an outstanding award and an honor that Noah is very deserving of. He is a special player who gets after it at an extrremely high level and he's been the face of our program for years now. With everything he's been through, from reaching a state tourney, being a TBCA selection, Royals Scout Team selection, Jr. Sunbelt selection, Tommy John surgery and rehab to then return and be District 2 hitter of the year, leading us to a district championship, this is definitely fitting for him to receive and on behalf of him I say thank you for the consideration and selection. It's very humbling to say the least." Casey Taylor HC Sevier Co |
|
3 - Braden Spano - Greeneville |
FIRST BASE |
Braden
Spano hit .544 with 68 base hits including 27 doubles and 6 home runs.
He scored 40 times as well. Spano is an uncommitted rising senior at

committed to Tennessee. Coaches Quote: "Hunter had one of the most consistent years at the plate I have ever witnessed in my career. Most people would say "talent", if asked why he is successful. However, what makes Hunter successful is his GRIT. This season was simply another display of his extreme passion and perserverance in his relentless pursuit of his long term goals. This recognition is well deserved." Alan Eubanks, HC Huntingdon |
5 - Mitch Sisk - Trinity Christian |

Not only has he become an execptional player, he has developed in to a true leader and one of the hardest workers I've had the pleasure of coaching. He always goes the extra mile in effort and his desire to improve and contribute combined with his athleticism earned him some incredible stats. I am very proud of him and the TCA Baseball family will definitley miss him next year." Jeremy Maddox HC TCA |
|
6 - Noah Gent - Pigeon Forge |
SHORTSTOP |
Noah
Gent hit .562 with a state leading 72 hits and scored 52 runs. Gent had
26 doubles and 9 home runs with 52 rbi. Noah will play collegiately at
Walters State CC next year. Coaches Quote: "Noah is an exceptional baseball talent that consistently performs at a high level in all phases of the game. But where he really stands out is his ability to elevate his teammates play through support and leadership on and off the field. No matter how things are going for him he always had his teammates back. Noah is a humble and uassuming player who it was my pleasure to coach." Mike Guinn HC Pigeon Forge |
|

committed to Tennessee. Coaches Quote: "Jared has been a starter since he was in the 8th grade and has been one of our top hitters every year. H has power and is as good of a two strike hitter as you find anywhere. He can play multiple positions and I am fortunate to be able to coach a guy like him." John McNeal HC Friendship Christian |
|
8 - Robert Hassell - Independence |
CENTER FIELD |
Robert
Hassell had an outstanding season in 2019 as he hit .423 with 14 home
runs which was second most in the state this season. He was also 22-22
in stolen bases and drove in 36 runs. Pitchers would not pitch to him
much as his 48 walks show. He had 8 doubles and 2 triples as well. Coaches Quote: "Robert is a great teammate and player. He is the guy you wanted up (to bat) in big situations." Mike McLaury HC Independence |
|
9 - John Rhodes - Chattanooga Christian |

Rhodes is the first and only player to be named to the Ultimate 9 team
for 3 times. Rhodes hit .560 with 10 doubles and 12 home runs. He drove
in 43 runs and walked 34 times. He was also 17-18 in stolen base
attempts. John will also continue is career at Kentucky. Coaches Quote: "John continues to amaze me as a coach, not only with his talent and ability, but with his desire to improve as a player and as a teammate. As proud as I am of his work on the field, I am equally proud of the man he has become. His work ethic and self discipline separate him from other players and will serve him well as he continues his baseball career at UK. He was a pleasure to coach and his presence will be missed both on and off the field at CCS, as he holds nearly every offensive record in school history." Ben Wharton HC CCS |
